This is a very popular EMF meter among ghost hunters. It is seen quite often on various TV programs such as Most Haunted.
How this model works:
The meter is activated through one push on the button and switches itself off automatically after about 2 minutes. Then you push the button again.
The meter can be read in two different scales. From 0 to 10 milliGauss (mG), which is the most common way of using the meter. If you want to measure very subtle EMFs, then hold the button pressed and measure EMFs between 0 to 1 mG.
The meter creates a buzzing sound starting at 2 mG. The buzz gradually changes to a higher and higher pitch. Sound can not be turned off or adjusted in volume (for a quiet EMF meter - see our other listing for the K-II EMF meter).
There is no light that lights up the scale for easy viewing in the dark (for a meter that you can easily view the readings in the dark - see our other listing for the K-II EMF meter).
As always: Man made EMFs will almost infallible create a steady reading. Paranormal activity is erratic and will cause the needle to suddenly spike. Often repeatedly.

One of many great benefits with the K-II is that the led lights will not flicker for tiny naturally occurring fluctuations of EMF levels. A significant spike in EMF has to occur for the lights to spike. Which means that it really has to be something very unusual causing the significant high erratic EMF reading. That would be a suspected ghost (especially if you are at a known haunted site) since sudden erratic readings over a wide range of EMF strength that suddenly come and then are gone are hard to find a natural explanation to. So, when your K-II meter starts spiking you know that something is there that is not normal. Another great advantage is that one can see the readings clearly in the dark and from far away. This makes the K-II meter also very useful for a group event.
